CHANGE. I had a thought today. I have followed this election cycle so closely that I've been neglecting my pre presidential campaign and post election favorite pasttime, the National Football League. Sorry NFL but this is a big election. It's like the Superbowl on high powered steroids. I have been admittedly hooked (which could arguably be an understatement) on following Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, John McCain, Joe Biden and "that one" or "the one" (depending on whether McCain or Oprah says it) Barack Obama. When the last ballot is counted I fear that I'm susceptible to PCWD (Post Campaign Withdrawl Disorder). Not to fear that's where my good old faithful, ace in the hole, stand by my side while I ditch it for polarizing politics, NFL football is waiting for me with open arms. Hey, at least the Ravens are winning and the league is wide open since Tom Brady shredded his knee and Peyton Manning won't admit what's wrong with his. Anyhow, NFL I'm coming home. I'll see you on Sunday.
In the meantime I'm about to rejoice the end of the big spending, pre-emptive war hawking, nation building, friend of big oil, enemy of the people George W Bush era. Thank Goodness.
As I watch Obama give the final campaign speech of the 2008 Presidential election in a packed like sardines rally in Manassas, Virginia it's still a surreal feeling that come tomorrow night he could actually be the next President of the United States. As Don King would say, "only in America."

A monumental night for America and the sons and daughters born of every parent in America. Our hearts rejoice each time we see a son or daughter make something of the life GOD has freely given them. I am extremely blessed to have that reality in my life and thankful to GOD for all HE'S done. This new day brings the elimination of all the "whys" I can't do this or that, it confirms that in America you can go as far as you're willing to work to go. GOD bless America, the people of the world and the youth that exemplified in this campaign and through their action that apathy in America is dead! Young people have decided to participate in "their" country and their government. Ah, what a beautiful thing. To GOD be the glory. While I pray for our President-Elect please join me as we travel a new road of healing for the world. Respectfully and thankfully offered by Reverend Bill Minson, a truly greatful and hope-filled American.
